By default, an organizational chart you create is set to Private. You can change the accessibility setting to Public and send a public link to your colleagues and friends.
Note: People with the public link can only view, not edit, the org chart.
This option is not ideal for charts that contain highly sensitive information, as the link can be shared between people or on websites. However, there are many scenarios where this feature is appropriate.
- Open the chart you wish to share.
- Click the Share icon.
- On the pop-up screen, click:
- Link Sharing
- Create New Public Link
4. Click the Copy icon. You will paste this public link into the body of an email and send the email to the person with whom you are sharing the chart.
Password Protected Public Link
Follow these steps to password-protect the link before sharing.
- Click the Security icon (key).
- Click the Password Security Enabled radio button.
- In the Link Password field, type the password.
- Click Save Security.
-
When the person with whom you shared the link clicks the password-protected public link, they will be prompted to enter the password before accessing the chart.
- Type the shared password and click Submit to view the chart.
- If you typed the wrong password, you will receive an Invalid Password error message.
- To change the password, in the Link Password field, simply type a new password.
- Click Save Security. Organimi overrides the old password with the new password.
Disable the Password Protected Public Link
- Click the Password Disable radio button. The link will still be active as a regular public link.
- Click Close.
Enable IP whitelisting
Users can secure their public link by whitelisting the set of IPs to share with. To enable IP whitelisting, click on the key icon and then select IP whitelisted. After adding the set of IPs with CIDR blocks, click on the "Save Security" button.
Disable IP whitelisting
In order to disable the IP whitelisting, select any option other than "IP whitelisted" and then click on "Save Security" button to save the settings.
Note: The default security option would be "Keep Link Access Public".
Note: The public chart link is accessible to anyone that has the link. Depending on the user access tools you chose, recipients may also be able to toggle the view, print, or export the information to pdf, png, or a CSV file.
