Integrate with Azure Active Directory (AD) to import people and automatically build your org chart(s) in minutes.
You can keep your org charts automatically up to date, which means that as your Active Directory system is updated, your org chart is also updated. Organimi will import all information including their picture, name, title, department, email, manager's name, etc.
Note: You must be an Active Directory Administrator to import people into Organimi from your Active Directory.
User Permissions
You or your IT department can create a specific user account in AD just for the Organimi integration. Ensure that you use this account to initially set up the AD integration.
The account can be any Azure AD account with the following permissions:
- 'offline_access'
- 'Directory.Read.All'
- 'User.Read.All'
- 'User.Read'
- 'User.ReadBasic.All'
Our AD integration works directly with Microsoft Graph API. View the official Microsoft documentation.
- From your dashboard, select Integrations.
- Click Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
3. Click the down arrow to select your organization.
4. Click Get Started.
5. Log on to your Active Directory account with your email address and password. (You must be an Administrator)
6. When you have successfully connected to AD this message displays, Successfully connected to Microsoft Azure Active Directory.
a. Click the Change button to integrate from another application.
b. If you wish to update an existing chart, click Update an existing chart.
c. If you wish to add or update people only, click Add or update people only.
d. To display more chart options, click Additional Chart Options and put a checkmark in the checkbox next to the options you wish to import.
e. To automatically keep your chart updated, put a checkmark in the Automatically keep in sync when changes are made checkbox. Organimi checks for changes in org charts every hour.
f. To view fields to be imported, click View Fields to be imported and click the down arrow to select fields you wish imported into your chart.
7. Click Choose Departments and put a checkmark next to departments you wish to import.
8. Click Apply to save changes.
9. Click Choose Companies and put a checkmark next to companies to import.
10. Click Apply to save changes.
11. Click +Apply Filters to exclude specific users.
12. Click Apply and Next.
13. Review and click Finish.
