In this example, we are going to add the Employee Type pick list custom field from within the role card.
- Open the org chart.
- Hover your mouse over the role card where you wish to add a pick list.
- Click the Edit Role icon
- In the Update Role screen, click Add More Fields. the users can choose to create a role based or a person based field, based on the their requirements.
- Update fields in the pop-up window as follows:
- In the Field Type, click on Pick List.
- Under Pick list type, choose either Single Pick or Multiple Pick, based on the requirements (we will choose single pick for this example)
- Under Pick list Choices, type the choices for the picklist and click on the green tick (or press Enter) to add it to the list of Possible selections
- Choose if any outside values from the list should be blocked by clicking on the checkbox provided.
- In the Field Label field, type the field name (for this example, we will keep it as "Employee Type").
- Choose if the field applies to Person or Role.
- Choose if this field needs to be a Private field. Please note that private fields are only accessible by organization administrators and account owners. They will be hidden when shared with less privileged users.
- Click Add Field
- The list of possible selections will appear when the user wants to edit this field in the role card.
