Create a legend with badges and colors.

In Organimi, creating a legend for your chart is quick and easy. 

Customize legends by adding badges and colors.

Use a badge to identify certain positions such as C-level Executives, Management, and part-time and full-time persons in your organization.

Note:

• Only account owners and org admins can create, edit, or delete legends
• The badges will also appear on public and iFrame links
• Legends can be turned off in the print via Layout section in the Print settings
• Editors and viewers will be able to view the legends and badges as well as toggle an existing legend on or off while viewing a chart, but they won't be able to edit the legend content
• 

To create a legend with badges,

1. Open a chart.
2. There are 2 ways to access the Legends creation dialog. You can either click the Show / Hide Legend icon or click +Add Smart Legends & Color Rules in the role edit dialog.

2. Click on New Legend Item to add a new legend item 
3. Click on purple box under Item Color to select a colour for the legend item and then click Save
4. In the next section, select Badge bar to add a badge from the set of icons for the legend item.
5. Click on white box under Badges to select a suitable icon and click Save. Please note that icons are now coloured based on the item colour selected.
6. You can choose to assign the legend item to a folder. In order to create a folder, click on the drop down under Folder and then click on + New Folder. Type in the folder name and then click on the green tick button
7. Then click on Add Rule under Rules to add a rule that should be satisfied in order for the badge to appear on a role card and then click on the green tick button to confirm the rule. After adding the rule, click on Save changes to make the badges appear on the role cards that satisfy the mentioned rule
8. The badges should look like below on the role cards

• You can also minimize/maximize the floating legend by clicking on the buttons highlighted below
• Legend appears like below on the prints and can be disabled from the print settings
• You can add more legends by clicking on the Manage button on the floating legend dialog and then click on New Legend item

Apply Role color instead of badges

• You can select the Role Color Bar option instead of the Badge bar. Selecting this option will apply the selected Item color as a role color for the role cards satisfying the rule stated. The position of the role color bar can be changed from within Themes->Colors.
• Please note that these settings are only available for custom themes so those users who do not already have a custom field by clicking on the copy icon on right of the Organimi themes in the Themes section - Apply a customized theme to your org chart.

Legends Reordering

• Legend items can be reordered within/outside the folder. All the unfiled items will appear at the top.
• To reorder the legend items, simply click and drag the item to one of the folders (move the badges from outside the folder to inside the folder or to a different folder). Please note that if all the legend items are removed from a folder, then that folder will be automatically removed.
