What's New in this Release ?

• Change to the way Legends and Badges work and look.
• Changes to the way Custom Fields setup works and looks.
• Changes to Location Field types to support predefined locations as pick-lists.
• Additional Custom Field functionality for roll-ups, subtotals and icon sets.

Legends and Badges NEW UI

Legends will now be shown as a floating UI window on the top left of the Org Chart, which supports the organization of Badges into groups or folders in the Legend window.

Badges in the Legend will now “filter” the chart to isolate the role cards with the badge or badges selected

The list of available icons has been changed so you may notice subtle changes to the icon you had originally chosen. The values were migrated from the old icons to the new set. If the new value is not right then Admins and Owners can change the icon values picking from the new set.

The list of available icons for badges is now searchable and the icons are sorted in groups.
The look of badges has changed so the icon is now what is colored rather than the background being colored. Badges without an icon can be square or round as before … but full-width badge background colouring has been removed.

For Admins and Owners, a new UI is available for adding, managing, and deleting badges. There is a new option feature to group the badges into folders if desired and more details can be found on the help center at: creating legends and badges

Custom Fields NEW Setup UI

For Admins and Owners, there is a new UI for setting up, editing, and removing custom fields in Organimi that will simplify and streamline the process of working with custom fields with your organizations in Organimi. In addition to the custom fields the standard built-in fields are now shown in the Org Space and the labels or names of the standard fields can be customized by Admins or Owners.

Enhancements to Location Field types

The Location Field type has been expanded from a single Geolocation or Place to behave either as a Picklist of Places that can be set up by the Admin or Owner or behave as a simple single Geolocation field or a combination of the two. The Admin or Owner can set whether a location field should be a single picklist of places or a multi-picklist of places and also if the values for the field should be constrained to the list of picklist values set up for the field or can allow additional values to be added as stand-alone Geolocation values.

The standard Organimi field for Location Address can have its label changed and also allows for specific picklist values to be added for places relevant to the Organization that the field is set up for.

Existing values for Location field types will be unchanged but not automatically converted to picklist values for the given field. Existing users should not notice a difference … but can now convert specific location fields to picklists and choose the values for the choices as necessary.

Picklist values for Location types are given a nickname along with the address details. On importing a file that matches fields with location types, the system will perform a “fuzzy match” to select picklist values and import the value as the picklist value if a match is determined … otherwise, the value is imported as a simple Geolocation value.

NEW Custom Fields types supported

• Organimi Custom Fields now include a “Rollup” type of custom field. Rollups are subtotals and total calculations that are made based on the hierarchy of the chart. Number, Currency, On/Off, and Checkmark types of custom fields can now be “summed” at each level of the hierarchy and displayed in the supervisor role cards. For example, if the salary for each role/person in the chart is included then that could be summed up automatically to show the total sum or subtotal sum for each level of supervisor or department etc. Rollup type Custom Computed Fields
  
  
• Organimi Custom Fields now include predefined icon picklist sets. The available options for this will expand over time based on customer requests. The first icon set available now is for Country Flag to show an icon of the particular county flag that the Admin or Owner wants to be displayed.   Icon Picklist Set type Custom Fields
  
  
• The URL Custom Field type now contains an option for what we call “Smart URLs” where the Admin or Owner can set up the URL with one or more parameters (of any other field) that will be resolved to a parameterized URL that can be clicked through by users of Organimi and will open the calculated URL link in a new tab.
