Switch your org chart left-to-right.

The left-to-right chart is also known as the horizontal org chart.

Companies tend to use left-to-right charts to avoid the top-down oppressive and hierarchical feel by literally flipping the classic org chart on its side.

Although a horizontal org chart does the same job as a top-down org chart, there is no single entity “on top” of the company—the leader is positioned to the far left while the rest of the organization flows to the right.

1. Open the chart that you want to switch left-to-right.
2. Click the Settings icon.
3. In the Chart Details tab, Chart Visual Display field, click the down arrow.
4. Select Left To Right Chart.     
5. Click Save Changes.
