How do I drop a role box a level?


Q:   An executive has 2 different levels reporting to him, a VP and a Director. I want to show the reporting relationship, but move the Director down to a different row, below the VP. How do I do that?  

A:   You can drop a role 1 or more levels by following these instructions.



  1. Open the org chart that contains the role that you wish to edit.
  2. Hover your mouse over the Director role box.
  3. Click the Role Actions button (3 dots) on the role to be dropped.

                              A popup menu appears.


       4. Select Edit Role.

                                       The Edit Role screen appears.


        5. In the Drop Level field type a 1, or click the up or down arrows to select the number of levels to drop the role.

        6. Click the Save button.


                                    The IT Director Role appears one level down from the VP of Finance role.
