Question: After viewing an embedded chart, how do I see who a root chart member in a role reports to?
Answer: A suggestion is to perform the following steps when creating your org charts: Make a note of who the embedded chart reports to, and then hover over the embedded chart and click "Visit Chart". Now that you are in the embedded chart, hover over the top role of the embedded chart, and click the plus node at the top of the box.
In the New Role dialog box, choose the Role Type Department, and enter the position the top person reports to under Role Title. In the example below, it's the CFO.
Click Create Role.
The position of the report relationship in the embedded chart displays as below:
The departmental role heading that you created will remind you to whom the top person reports.
